Sam Bankman-Fried American CEO is a vegan crypto billionaire. He is the founder and CEO of FTX, a cryptocurrency exchange. He manages $8.7 billion in assets through Alameda Research, a quantitative crypto trading company he founded in 2017. According to the company’s co-founder, Alameda handles approximately $1 billion dollars per day trading, making up about 5% of the global Bitcoin trading volume. Bankman-Fried doesn’t just want to be the richest crypto billionaire, he wants to make the biggest positive impact on the world possible.
3) Chris Laesen
Chris Larsen was born in San Francisco, California, in 1960 his mother worked as a freelance illustrator while his father worked as an aircraft mechanic for United Airlines at San Francisco International Airport. After high school, Larsen attended San Francisco State University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in international business and accounting in 1984. In September 2012, Larsen co-founded the company OpenCoin, which began developing a new payment protocol called Ripple, based on a concept developed by Ryan Fugger. To maintain security, OpenCoin programmed Ripple to rely on a common ledger that is “managed by a network of independent validation servers that constantly compare their transaction logs”. Servers can be owned by anyone, including banks or market makers. In 2014, Ripple was the second largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization after Bitcoin. Also that month, Ripple Labs was named one of the 50 Smartest Companies by the MIT Technology Review. He started working for Chevron after college, doing financial audits in Brazil, Ecuador and Indonesia.  He graduated with an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1991.
Chris Larsen (born 1960) is a business executive and angel investor best known for co-founding several tech startups, in 2012, he co-founded the company Ripple Labs which developed Ripple software that allows instant and direct money transfer between two parts. In January 2018, the cryptocurrency business briefly raised its fortunes to more than $17 billion. In 2020, Larsen and Ripple each donated $1 million to five San Francisco food banks for COVID-19’s relief efforts. Larsen’s personal stake is 5.19 billion XRP, giving him a 17% stake in Ripple. According to the XRP exchange rate as of January 1, 2018, that means his net worth is worth $37.3 billion, placing him 15th on the list of richest Americans.
4) Changpeng Zhao
Zhao was born in Jiangsu Province, China. In the late 1980s, he moved with his family to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His father was a teacher in China before being labeled a “pro-bourgeois intellect” and exiled from his country. In his teens, Zhao helped support his family by working various jobs in the service industry, including working at McDonald’s. After college, Zhao started working for the Tokyo Stock Exchange, developing software for matching trade orders. He also worked at Bloomberg Tradebook, where he was a futures trading software developer. In 2017, Zhao left OKCoin to initiate a cryptocurrency exchange called Binance. He launched the company in July 2017, following a $15 million financing raised during an initial currency offering. In less than eight months, Zhao has grown Binance to the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange for trading volume, starting in April from 2018. Binance is the world’s largest crypto exchange, with $500 million in daily trading volume as of early 2019. It has also stated that nearly 100% of all its assets are invested in cryptography. According to forbes its net worth is 1.9 billion.
